Today, the kids and I ventured to Port Murray, NJ. There is a farm called Well Sweep Herb Farm that I have always wanted to go to. They specialize in herbs of all types. We were greeted by these sheep and then we soon discovered that they also had chickens. Amelia was all about the animals and Aiden just wanted to go look at the old truck. I on the other hand wanted to go look at the gardens. Aiden and I just figured it would be a lot easier if we just let Amelia lead us around. We had a great time!!! The gardens are beautiful and I look forward to going back by myself, so I can really enjoy the gardens there. It's a nice ride and well worth the trip.
Flowers are just starting to bloom. Who can resist but pick some, certainly not Amelia. Whenever we pass a flower she walks right up and picks it. But who can blame her....I do the same thing. I have gone outside to my garden everyday to pick my peonies. They look beautiful and our house smells wonderful.
This past weekend Nascar was in town. Since Aiden has become fascinated with race cars we thought that we would take advantage of the first Nascar Festival in Stroudsburg. Aiden got to touch lots of cars and listen to some bands play their music. What a day for Aiden! If things couldn't get any better Aunt Joanne and Uncle Michael came to visit us too. On Sunday with the traffic being a zoo because of Nascar we went for a hike along the Delaware river. We had another great weekend.
We had a very quiet weekend, which was much needed. We took the kids to the park on Sautrday where they had their first interaction with older kids. We came home and did some much needed yard work. Our neighbors were having a party which provided us with some free live music. It was great! On Sunday we went for a breakfast picnic and then our usual Sunday morning hike. We hiked on top of Big Boulder right by Camelback. It was such a clear day we could see for many miles. Stay tuned for some of those photos. We hope that you all had a great weekend too!!
