4th of July

It's hard to believe that it's already July. I think that the weather is tricking us, it feels more like May.

We started our day by going to the Farmer's Market to get some fresh produce. The kids made some friends with a few Greyhound dogs. Some of the dogs were dressed in tutus. Which Amelia thought was so cute.

After a much needed nap, we were ready for our trip down West Long Branch to Pammy's house. (Which is what the kids call it) Gavin just cuts Pammy's grass. (That's what Aiden kept saying all morning) We got to the Walters' house to see that the fireworks were going to be set off a few hundred feet from Gavin and Pam's house. Test fireworks were set off all afternoon, which needless to say scared the kids.

We had a great time and the kids got to swim in a kiddie pool and they had their first experience on a slip and slide. After a great dinner, the fireworks fastly approached which drew the kids inside the house with Gram. They were able to see the fireworks thru the window of the house and not here the big bang! The adults sat outside and dodged firework shells that kept falling on us! What a great show!!!! By the time we left Gavin and Pam's it was 10:00. Tommy and I were sure that the kids were going to sleep all the way home, but to our surprise they stayed up.

We had a great time at the first annual 4th of July party at the Walters' house. We look forward to next years party, where the kids will have a little cousin to play with and t-shirts will be provided!! We can't wait for Gavinpoloza!!
