Weekend Recap and A Few Helpful Tips

Helpful Tips:

Tip 1:

On Friday, the kids and I were in NJ and we made a stop at Trader Joe's!! We love Trader Joe's. When we walked into the store we couldn't help but notice all the flowers. Ballerina and I must have been on the same wave length because we immediately walked over to all the flowers and started smelling the flowers and deciding which bunch to buy.

I love tulips so we got tulips but I let Ballerina pick the color.

As we were checking out the cashier said "don't forget to go home cut the stem out THREE

pennies into the water." I said three I thought it was one. She assured me it was three and they would keep the tulips standing up straight and alive longer.

I'll give anything a try once.

I kid you not when I say that these are the flowers FIVE days later!!!

So make sure you add three pennies to tulips!!!

Tip 2:

I don't know about you but in my house we seem to use a lot of paper towels. I noticed when we had company that when something spilled people would grab four or five pieces of paper towels. I was horrified that we rely on paper towels that much. I pretty much always buy Bounty because they are the quicker picker upper.

Several days later I took the paper towels off the roll and replaced it with a hand towel.

Now when we go to reach for a paper towel we can grab the hand towel instead.

I found this tray down in my basement.

I unrolled a roll of paper towels and cut them in half. We don't need to use a whole piece of paper towel.

I put a little note on the paper towels as a gentle reminder not to use paper towels.

I went to Target and bought 16 wash clothes for $1.48 on clearance. I bought white so I can wash them in a little bleach to make sure they get really clean.

I also have my hand lotion, cleaning spray, and a little mood booster serum.

I am happy to report that we have had this same roll of paper towels since January 2nd. It was worth the little extra work of unrolling the roll of paper towels and cutting them in half.
